Not tuition multiplied by three. Every line: the test, the translations, the NOC, the lodgement fee, the health surcharge, the flight, the year of living costs, and the money that has to be sitting in a bank account before any of it can be applied for.
The cheapest destination on this page reaches 34.5 lakh for year one. The dearest reaches 61.6 lakh. Both numbers move with the exchange rate, so they are recalculated against the central bank every hour.

United Kingdom
Nine months of maintenance held for 28 consecutive days ending no more than 31 days before you apply, plus any tuition not already paid. London is GBP 13,761. From 30 November 2026 both figures rise, to GBP 10,827 outside London at GBP 1,203 a month and GBP 14,130 in it at GBP 1,570 a month, under the statement of changes HC 584 of 3 September 2026. An application made on or before 29 November 2026 is decided on today's figures.
Canada
Living expenses for a single applicant, raised on 1 September 2026. Tuition and travel are on top of it, not inside it. A GIC is a well-regarded way to show this and has not been compulsory since the Student Direct Stream closed in November 2024: bank statements, a paid tuition receipt, an education loan or documented sponsor support are all accepted.
New Zealand
NZD 20,000 a year of living costs, plus tuition, evidenced.
Australia
Twelve months of living costs for a single applicant. Your first year of tuition and a return airfare sit on top of it. The department looks at where the money came from and whether you can actually reach it, not only at the balance.
United States
The full first-year cost of attendance shown on the I-20, evidenced with liquid funds and a sponsor with provable income.
Finland
EUR 800 a month. For a course of a year or more, EUR 9,600 has to be in the student's own account when the application is submitted.
How this is worked out
Where each number comes from
The exchange rate
Nepal Rastra Bank’s published selling rate, fetched from the bank’s own API and refreshed hourly. The date it was published is printed under every table. If the bank cannot be reached, the page says so rather than quietly using an old rate.
The foreign figures
Visa fees, health surcharges and the financial requirement come from the government that sets them, and each carries the date we last checked it. Tuition and living costs are ranges, because they genuinely are.
What is marked est
An informed estimate we have not yet confirmed against a primary source. It is marked rather than hidden. A cost engine that is quietly wrong about the money a family has to show does real harm, so we would rather look unfinished than look certain.
